Aurora is a new track inspection
service from GREX. New
in every sense of the word. A sophisticated array of image
sensing devices retrieves data from the bed of a hi-rail
pickup. Data is taken at speeds of up to 30 miles per hour.
Once the data is analyzed for a particular inspection item,
concrete tie insulator pads for instance, detailed customized
reports are streamed to your database,
right at your computer.
Wood and concrete tie grading is accomplished using grade
metrics already in use. Gauge measurement, anchor, tie plate,
rail seat abrasion detection, and spike inspection are also
available, with unheard of accuracy. Hundreds of miles each
day are inspected with consistency no human can match.
