Rail Seat Abrasion Detection

Aurora analyzes a 3-dimensional scan of the surface of the track. Using advanced shape recognition and edge detection routines, Aurora locates the edge of the base of the rail and the surface of each concrete tie. Aurora then reports the vertical distance between the two for each tie and each rail. Ties that have been degraded due to rail seat abrasion are identified and located exactly. Exception reports are generated based on customer specifications, enabling rapid repair of this dangerous condition.

We should increase the number of miles inspected by Aurora because we are over looking some keys areas and going to miss finding RSA.
